सपनाले देखेका सपनाहरु अब बिपना बन्दैछन्‌
एक करोड ३० लाख रुपैयाँको पुरस्कारका लागि उनी न्यू योर्कमा
न्यू योर्क, November 13, 2008- नेपालबाट ग्रुबर फाउन्डेसनले ११ नोबम्बरमा प्रदान गर्ने "महिला अधिकार पुरस्कार" Women's Rights Prize सम्मान समारोहमा भाग लिन न्यू योर्क आइपुग्नु भएकी नेपाली निमुखा महिलाहरुकी न्यायकि आँखा बन्न सफल वकिल तथा संबिधान सभासद सपना प्रधान मल्लले पाएको एक करोड ३० लाख रुपैयाँ बराबरको नगद पुरस्कारको जति चर्चा भएको छ त्यसले उनले गरेका कामहरु नै पो ओझेलमा पर्ने हुन्‌की भने झै भएको छ। तर उनले भनिन्‌ -"यो पुरस्कारको आधा भाग काठमाडौं बाहिर उपेक्षित महिलाहरुको लागि आवास घरको निर्माण गर्ने बिचार गरेकी छु।"

अमेरिकि डलर ५ लाख अर्थात झन्डै ३ करोड ९० लाखको यो पुरस्कार यो बर्ष तीन जना महिलाहरुलाई संयुक्त रुपमा प्रदान गरियो। इराककि एनार महम्द, प्यालेस्टाइनकि डा. नादेरा केभोरकियन र नेपालकि सपना प्रधान मल्ललाई यस बर्षको "महिला अधिकार पुरस्कार" The Peter and Patricia Gruber Foundation कि सस्थापिका तथा Peter Gruber कि श्रीमती Patricia Gruber ले कोलम्बिया ल युनिभर्सिटीको जेरोम ग्रिन सभा हलमा सोमबार एक समारोहका बिच प्रदान गर्नु भएको हो।

यता न्यू योर्कका नेपाली संघ-सङ्स्थाहरुले यही आईतवार साँझ क्विन्समा उनको सम्मानमा एक अभिनन्दन समारोहको आयोजना राखेका छन्‌।

आयोजकहरुमा नेपाल आदिबासी जनजाति महासंघ अमेरिका (Federation of Indigenous Peoples of Nepal in America (FIPNA), Alliance for Democracy & Human Rights in Nepal USA (ADHRN) र अधिकार (Adhikaar.Org) छन्‌।
