Exclusive: 4 photos: काठमाण्डौं- नेपाल सरकारद्वारा मंसिर १ गते (November 16, 2016) मा नेपालका प्रथम शहीद लखन थापा मगरको स्मृतिमा प्रथम हुलाक टिकट जारी गरिएको छ । सूचना तथा सञ्चार मंत्री सुरेन्द्र कार्कीले प्रथम शहीद लखन थापा मगरको प्रथम दिवसीय आवरण (First Day Cover) हुलाक टिकटमा टाँचा लगाई प्रथम हुलाक टिकट जारी गरे । नेपाल सरकारद्वारा प्रथम शहीद लखन थापालाई सन् २०१५ को सेप्टम्बर २० तारिख (बिसं २०७२ असोज ३ गते) औपचारिक रुपमा प्रथम शहीदको मान्यता प्रदान गरिएको थियो ।

नेपालका प्रथम शहीद लखन थापा मगरको जन्म सन् १८३४ (बि.सं. १८९१) मा नेपालको गोर्खा जिल्लाको बुङ्कोटमा भएको थियो । प्रथम शहीद थापालाई जहाँनिया राणा शासनको बिरोध गर्दा श्री ३ जंगबहादुर राणाको ठाडो आदेशमा बिसं १९३३ (सन् १८७७) फागुनको पहिलो हप्ता उनकै गाउँ गोर्खा जिल्लाको बुङ्कोटमा झुन्ड्याई मारिएको थियो।
