Trump’s unjust executive orders, which have caused fear and anxiety about immigrant deportations and 7-country Muslim travel bans across the country. In a rally called “Love Fights Back”, Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer, a Democrat, said, "We all come from somewhere and all welcome here in New York City. In fact, immigrants, Muslims from all over the world make New York City world's great city but without them, it is not a great city. ...we have 150 languages in our city, thank goodness. Immigrants own 83,000 businesses in our city and they are 40% of our work force. The immigrant community earns a 100 billion dollars a year."

Manhattan or New York City (NYC) also known as the world's capital city, where UN Headquarters are located and stands 5th (28.5%) of the 5 largest immigrant population U.S. Cities after Miami (38.5%), San Jose (36.8%), Los Angeles (33.8%) and San Francisco (29.8%). Over the weekend, the Coalition released breaking information about Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) operations in New York. In a statement released by Secretary Kelly on Monday, ICE confirmed that 680 people were arrested in Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, San Antonio and New York City. While ICE claims they are conducting “routine, targeted operations" that is "the beginnings of a ramp-up in arrests, detentions and deportations that is extremely concerning." NYIC says, "These actions do not help make us safer - and instead tear families apart, hobble our economies, and corrode the bonds of trust that tie New Yorkers together. These enforcement actions occur at the same time as President Trump is now considering new options to impose a new immigration travel ban."
