न्यू योर्क, December 8, 2008- हिजो आईतवार साँझ न्यू योर्क शहरको क्विन्समा आयोजित यस सामुदायिक न्युज पोर्टलको प्रथम वार्षिकोत्सब समारोहमा पहिलो पटक न्यू योर्कमा कृयाशिल २७ वटा नेपाली संघसंस्‍थाहरुका अगुवाहरु एउटै मन्चमा उभिएर प्रबासमा नेपाली हुनुको गर्ब र एकताको उदाहरण प्रस्तुत गर्दै USNepalOnline लाई सफलताको शुभ-कामना प्रदान गरे।

गत बर्ष डिसेम्बर ३ तारिखबाट प्रकाशन शुरु गरिएको USNepalOnline.Com यसबिच ७१ लाख, ५२ हजार, ०८३ पटक हेरिएका छन्‌ भने यसका ७ लाख, ७२ हजार, ७८५ समाचार पृष्‍ठहरु ब्राउज गरिएका छन्‌।

नोबेम्बर महिनामा USNepalOnline.Com १२ लाखभन्दा बेशी पटक हेरियो। पोहर डिसेम्बर महिनामा प्रकाशन शुरु गर्दा शिर्फ १ लाख १४ हजार १६२ पटक हेरिएको थियो । अहिले USNepalOnline.Com पाठकहरु ११० भन्दा देश बढी देशबाट यसका खबर पढ्छन्। हाम्रा पाठकहरु मध्ये अमेरिकाबाट ४३.३ प्रतिसत, नेपालबाट ५ प्रतिसत, बेलायत (युके) बाट ३.६ प्रतिसत, क्‍यानाडाबाट १.८ प्रतिसत, भारतबाट १.४ प्रतिसत, जापानबाट १.३ प्रतिसत, हङकङबाट ०.८ प्रतिसत छन्‌।

संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघको सन् २००६ को तथ्याङ्कअनुसार नेपालमा प्रति १०० जनामा ०.९ प्रतिसतले मात्र इन्टर्नेट हेर्छन्। जब कि अमेरिकामा ६९.१ प्रतिसतले इन्टर्नेट हेर्छन्। यो हिसाबले हाम्रा ५ प्रतिसत नेपालका नेपाली पाठक अमेरिकाको तुलनामा ज्यादा मान्नु पर्छ। हुन पनि मकवानपुरदेखी पोखरासम्म, कैलालीदेखी ईलामसम्मका पाठकहरुबाट प्राप्त प्रतिकृयाहरुले त्यही कुरालाई पुष्‍टी गर्दछ। तर हामी अझ नयाँ पाठकहरुबिच पुग्नु बाँकी नै छ।

न्यू योर्कका नेपाली कार्यक्रमाहरु एक / दुई घण्टा सम्म ढिलो गरी नेपाल कै पारामा चल्न थालेदेखि वाक्क भएका आयोजकहरुले निर्धारित समयभन्दा जम्मा ७ मिनट मात्र ढिलो गरी शुरु (त्यो पनि बिशिस्ठ अतिथीहरुलाई कुर्दा र नआइपुग्दै शुरु गरेको) कार्यक्रम न्यू योर्कमा चिरपरिचित कलाकार शैलेश श्रेष्ठले सन्चालन गर्नु भएको थियो भने प्रियान्का थापाले नेपालबाट प्राप्त १२ वटा र अमेरिकाबाट प्राप्त २ वटा शुभकामना पत्रहरु पढ्न श्रेष्ठलाई साथ दिएकी थिइन्‌। स्लेश्मा पराजुली र स्वेच्छा पन्त चाँही उपस्थित पाहुनाहरुको हाजिरी लगाउन सहयोग गरेका थिए।
