प्रधामन्त्रीले मगर समुदायको माघे संक्रान्ति खुलामन्‍चमा उद्घाटन गर्ने

काठमाण्डौं, January 11, 2009- माघे संक्रान्तिलाई सरकारले राष्टिय चाड घोषणा गरेपछि मगरहरुले पहिलोपटक खुलामन्‍चमा भव्य समारोका बीच आफ्नो राष्टिय मनाउने भएका छन् ।

नेपाल मगर संघ, मगर राष्ट्रिय मुक्ति मोर्चा नेपाल, नेपाल राष्ट्रिय मगर संघ, नेपाल लोकतान्त्रिक मगर संघ, नेपाल श्वसासित मगर संघ, एकीकृत मगर हांग परिषद्, नेपाल मगर महिला संघ, नेपाल मगर विद्यार्थी संघ, मगर आमसन्‍चारकर्मी समाज, अठार मगरात, मगर भाषा साहित्य विकास प्रतिष्ठान, नेपाल मगर साँस्कृतिक संघ लगायत पाँच दर्जनभन्दा बढी राजनीतिक तथा सामाजिक मगर संघसंस्थाहरुको संयुक्त आयोजनामा सो कार्यक्रम मनाउन लागिएको हो ।

समारोहको प्रधामन्त्री पुष्पकमल दाहाल 'प्रचण्ड'ले उद्घाटन गर्नुहुने मगर राष्टिय मुक्ति मोर्चाका उपाध्यक्ष तथा सभासद् ओनसरी घर्तीमगरले जानकारी दिएकी छिन् । समारोहलाई प्रमुख राजनीतिक दलका शीर्ष नेताहरुले सम्बोधन गर्ने कार्यक्रम रहेको छ ।

समारोहमा मगरहरुको परम्परागत खेलहरु छेलो हान्ने, डोरी तान्ने, घैँटो फोर्ने, धनुष वाण, लोकदोहोरीको प्रतिस्पर्धा गराइने छ । यस्तै रोटे पिङ र िलंगे पिङ पनि हालिने छ । मगरहरुको परम्परागत खानपान, बर्तुन, तरुल, सेलरोटी लगायतको प्रदर्शनी पनि राखिने आयोजकहरुले बताएका छन् ।

मगरहरुको विभिन्न राजनीतिक र सामाजिक संस्थाको संयुक्त मोर्चाको पनि सोही दिन घोषणा गरिने भएको छ ।

नेपालको पूर्व-पश्चिम उत्तर-दक्षिण सबै भाग र पचहत्तरै जिल्लामा रहेका मगरहरुले माघे संक्रान्ति पर्व मनाउने गर्दछन् । तरुल खाने दिदीबहिनीलाई सगुन दिने नातागोतालाई बोलाउने मेला लगाउने, खिचडी खाने, छेलो फाल्ने, धनुषकाण हान्ने, मनोराजन गर्ने लगायतका कार्य गरी मगरहरुले माघे संक्रान्ति मनाउँदै आएका छन् ।

मन्त्रिपरिषद्को यही बुधबार पुस २३ गते बसेको बैठकले माघे संक्रान्तिलाई राष्ट्रिय पर्व घोषणा र राष्ट्रिय विदा दिने निर्णय गरेको थियो ।

यसअघि सो मागसहितको ज्ञापनपत्र संयुक्त मगर मोर्चा नेपालले प्रधानमन्त्री पुष्पकमल दाहाललाई बुझाएको थियो ।

Maghe Sankranti – National Festival

After having fought long time for demanding Maghe Sankranti to be declared the National Festival of the country, Nepal government has finally heard our voice and recognized it as demanded since
January 7, 2009. We thank all Magar organizations for working collectively and making it happen.

We, hereby, would also like to appeal all Magar Bandhus and organizations from around the world to remain united regardless of our political beliefs, differences, geographical distances and no matter where we live, and fight for Magarant Autonomous State. Let’s support the movement morally, financially, intellectually and physically – from wherever and whatever ways we possibly can. If we do not fight ourselves for our rights and own Autonomous State, who will???

Again, we heartily welcome the decision and express our gratitude to Nepal government for declaring Maghe Sankranti – National Festival of the country.
