Nepal's Constitutional Assembly Elected Jha as the first Vice-President of republic Nepal

Kathmandu, July 19, 2008- NC, UML & Forum's candidate Dr. Rambaran Yadav couldn't secure enough votes to win the presidential post at today's election of Constitutional Assembly (CA). He received 294.

On the other hand, the candidate for Vice President Parmananda Jha won the election, garnering 305 votes. Re-election will take place for the President soon. CPN (ML-CP Mainali), RPP (RANA), RJP (SURYA B.THAPA) cast their votes for Dr. Yadav. The 17 crossover voters believed to be hiding within the Forum.
