NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) was established on July 29, 1958, by the National Aeronautics and Space Act by the United States of America. NASA has had many successful space missions and programs, including over 150 manned missions.
NASA's most memorable and notable one is Apollo mission which landed first humans in the Moon on July 20, 1969. Neil Alden Armstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin Eugene 'Buzz' Aldrin Jr were on board. Armstrong and Aldrin became the first humans to land on the Moon, while Collins orbited above waiting for them to return on the spacecraft.
